## How to pick a day spa in Reno

Prices should be posted before you book, and packages should list exactly what is included and for how long. Ask what happens if you need to reschedule, since short-notice cancellation fees are where most complaints come from.

Searching for day spas near me in Reno? Everyone ranked below serves Reno and the surrounding neighborhoods, including South Reno, Somersett, Sparks, Caughlin Ranch, Spanish Springs, Carson City. Check the address and service area on a listing before you call, because the closest one is not always the one a search engine puts first.

How we rank these Reno businesses

Today this order comes from public Google ratings and review volume, and nothing else.

- **A quality floor.** At least a 4.0 rating and 15 or more reviews to be listed at all.

- **Confidence, not just stars.** A thin rating gets pulled toward the typical rating for its own category, in proportion to how few reviews back it up; a well-reviewed rating is trusted almost entirely as is. A 4.9 from 7 reviews is a weaker claim than a 4.5 from 890, and the order says so.

- **Recent counts for more.** A five star review from four years ago is not evidence about the crew working today.

- **One customer, one voice,** and a burst of reviews in a single day counts for less than the same reviews earned over a month.

- **Local means local.** A business has to actually serve Reno to be listed here. We measure the distance from the business to the city and drop the ones that are really in another market, which is why you will not see a clinic an hour away sitting above the one down the road.

- **The ranked order is not for sale.** No business can pay to move up in the numbered list. Every position in it is earned on public ratings and review volume and nothing else.

- **Featured is a labelled spotlight, not a rank.** The starred card above the rankings is reserved for businesses that have recently joined Top Rated. A new client can be excellent and still have a short review history, and the numbers alone would bury them for months, so the spotlight gives them visibility while that history builds. It carries no position number, it never moves anyone in the numbered list below it, and it is clearly marked every time it appears. We also rotate it: promotions and seasonal events cycle different clients through the slot, so it is a turn in the spotlight rather than a permanent purchase.

**What is changing.** We are adding a second signal: reviews left here by customers whose job we can actually trace. It is built and published below so you can see it before it counts, and it is not part of the order yet. A review will count more when we can prove the job happened, not because it was left on our site.

How much each kind of review counts

- 1.6x**Verified job**

A Top Rated review from a customer whose job we can trace: we brokered the lead, the work was booked, and the review came after the job.

- 1.2x**Verified account**

A Top Rated review from a real, signed-in account that we cannot tie to a specific job.

- 1x**Google**

A public Google review. This is the baseline and it is not discounted.

- 0x**Unverified**

Anything we cannot stand behind. Shown if we show it, counts for nothing.
